African Community Health Initiative

Queen and villager

Queen Obasi (pictured above), our school nurse, took a trip this winter break to Nigeria with a non-profit organization she founded called, African Community Health Initiative. She works to bring health care to communities in Nigeria and Namibia that lack access to basic health services.

Queen and other volunteers travel to rural villages each year to provide health screenings, education and health maintenance services to populations that would otherwise have no access to healthcare.

ACHI provides free medication to individuals diagnosed with chronic illnesses as well as vitamins and de-worming medication to all school-aged children.
